Arvind Kejriwal has started his “Civil Disobedience Movement” requesting Delhiites not to pay “illegal” increased water and power bills. Kejriwal is the leader of AAP (Aam Aadmi Party).
From today he has announced his indefinite fast or hunger strike against these increased bills. He will be sitting in East Delhi at a house near the sub-divisional magistrate’s office in Nand Nagri. Kejriwal said the house owner has to borrow money to pay his water and electricity bills.
This is quite a new move as usually all fasts were held in front of Jantar Mantar or Ramlila Maidan. Members of AAP party will be supporting him. According to Kejriwal Anna Hazare will join the movement on 29th March in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal also attacked on BJP this time saying its agitation against the hike in power and water tariff was just an election gimmick and it was hand-in-glove with the Congress.
With the reaction of government, people’s reaction on the claims of Kejriwal is also a big question which will be answered as how movement will grow in a couple of days by Delhi.
