The actress born with acting in her blood, Shriya Pilgaokar is the adopted daughter of actors Sachin Pilgaokar and Supriya Pilgaokar. She has made her debut with a Marathi movie Ekulti Ek. The movie was a story of two strangers who happen to be father and daughter. She has also been known for her roles in direction. She loves what she does. She has been acting in theatres from her school days.
She has directed movies like Dresswala and Painted Signal which won her global accreditation in various film festivals. She has also won the World`s Nomad Travel Film scholarship for which she has also got an opportunity to travel to Brazil and make a travel film. Making a debut with Ekulti Ek, she got noticed by a Oscar winning French director Claude Lelouche who has later signed her for a French movie ”Un Plus Une”. She already has started shooting for this film.
Shriya Pilgaokar is currently shooting for a movie under Yash Raj Films banner. She has bagged a role opposite to superstar Sharukh Khan. The movie is titled as “Fan”. It will be the worth watching debut of Shriya opposite to Sharukh Khan in the Bollywood industry. The movie will feature a double role of Sharukh Khan. Shriya is also working as a second unit director for the Anurag Basu`s next telefilms “Real FM”.
